A restaurant breakfast under twelve dollars still exists, but it rarely sits next to a resort lobby. FoodDiscovery searched its verified menu records for complete breakfast dishes priced below $12, excluding coffee, sides, single pancakes and children's meals.
The resulting ten-menu sample covers ten cities and seven states. Its median selected price is $8.95, with a $6.25 breakfast buffet at the low end and an $11.99 omelette at the ceiling.
We included one complete breakfast dish per restaurant from FoodDiscovery's stored published ordering-menu records. A qualifying dish had to cost less than $12 and function as a meal by itself. Sides, kids items, single a-la-carte pancakes and prices without a numeric amount were excluded. Prices were rechecked on August 9, 2026 and are sorted from lowest to highest. Records can originate on restaurant websites or active third-party ordering storefronts; the study reports the captured ordering price and does not assume it matches the dine-in price.

Order this: The $6.25 breakfast buffet, the lowest complete breakfast in this sample.
The captured menu also lists low-priced egg plates and omelets, but the buffet is the clearest meal-level comparison. It beats the sample median by $2.70 before tax and any later price changes.

Order this: The hamburger loco moco, a full breakfast plate under eight dollars.
Tex lists several loco moco variations below $10 as well as pancakes and omelets. The hamburger version is used because it is a complete, clearly priced breakfast rather than a side or single item.

Order this: Huevos rancheros, the sample's third-lowest complete breakfast.
Nicha's menu also contains chilaquiles and omelettes below $12. Huevos rancheros makes the comparison because the dish is a full breakfast and its $7.99 price is explicitly posted.

Order this: The two-egg breakfast served with rice, beans and tortillas.
The captured Uber Eats ordering menu turns a simple two-egg order into a complete plate with rice, beans and tortillas. That distinction is why it qualifies while a bare a-la-carte egg would not. The ordering price may differ from the dine-in price.

Order this: The standard breakfast burrito at its posted $8.95 price.
JV's captured menu lists several breakfast-burrito variations below $10. We use the standard version so the table compares an ordinary order rather than a larger or specialty upgrade.

Order this: The full buttermilk pancake order rather than a single a-la-carte cake.
Several full pancake flavors share the same posted price, including banana macadamia nut and lemon ricotta. The plain buttermilk version keeps the cross-menu comparison simple.

Order this: The short stack, one of several full pancake orders below $12 on the menu.
Tia Sophia's also posts a $10 blueberry short stack and an $11.50 blue-corn pinon version. The standard stack gives the sample its cleanest baseline.

Order this: Chilaquiles tradicionales, the restaurant's sub-$10 breakfast plate.
Casa Chapala lists huevos rancheros at $11.95 as another qualifying meal. The chilaquiles are selected because their $9.95 price keeps a full restaurant breakfast below ten dollars.

Order this: The country-style breakfast labeled as huevos rancheros on the menu.
The captured menu also lists complete pancake-and-egg combinations below ten dollars. The country-style plate is used because the menu explicitly identifies it as a breakfast entree.
New Orleans, Louisiana · 334 Royal St
Order this: The andouille sausage omelette, the highest-priced breakfast that still fits this sample.
Several omelette variations remain under the $12 cutoff on the captured menu. The $11.99 andouille version closes the list without rounding a $12 item down.
This sample does not prove that every city has a similar bargain. It shows that complete sub-$12 breakfasts appear on published ordering menus across several regions. Because the records can include third-party ordering storefronts, readers should verify the current dine-in price directly with the restaurant.
FoodDiscovery will recheck these menus and add qualifying cities as the verified dataset grows.
